Terror lawyer’s slap: justice barely served

THE ISSUE: Lynne Stewart’s jail sentence for providing material support to a terrorist.

***

I am tired of reading about Lynne Stewart in the news and her being called a rebel lawyer and a civil-rights lawyer (“Lynne’s Act Should Play Well in Hell,” Andrea Peyser, Nov. 19).

She is in trouble for helping terrorists not because she likes them but for how they can hurt our country.

Whether she is defending a terrorist or a drug dealer, it is only to set them free to wreak havoc on Americans.

I don’t know if I share the optimism of The Post about Stewart receiving more jail time.

Maybe I’m cynical, but when I see the way the liberal justice system works (and Stewart is part of that liberal establishment), this add-on sentencing might just be a stall.

Why has this criminal been out of prison for three years? She was found guilty.

It shouldn’t have taken three years to figure out what to do with slime like this.

With Stewart and the typical representation of what a “jury of her peers” would look like in an ultra-liberal NYC courtroom, what could possibly go wrong?
