City puts out ‘Gridlock Alert’ days in time for Christmas season

The city released a list today of nine days between tomorrow and Dec. 23 when drivers can expect the most gridlock in Manhattan.

The Department of Transportation advised drivers and shoppers to use mass transit throughout the holiday season — especially on Nov. 20 and 25 and Dec. 2, 4, 11, 16, 17, 18 and 23.

The DOT also will place an embargo on all non-emergency construction in the city to help traffic.
