#Fatkini body awareness campaign floods social media

To heck with counting calories and logging endless hours at the gym — thousands of plus-size women are accepting their bodies as is.

In the face of constant scrutiny on social media, a new campaign has taken shape to promote positive body images.

The #fatkini hashtag is filled with inspiring photos of full-figured women posing with confidence in the same bikini designs worn by their size 2 counterparts.

Monif Clarke, CEO of a popular fashion brand for plus-size women, says that while the call for acceptance isn’t new, it’s always good to see women embracing their bodies.

“It’s been about five years since my company started designing bikinis for plus-size women, and it’s amazing to see women [who] previously hid in the shadows feel good enough about themselves to post their picture on the Internet,” Clarke tells The Post.

Feeling insecure? Take heart from these women, who are rocking their beach attire with courage.
