School staffer fired for getting pregnant: suit

A mom-hating Brooklyn Law School staffer canned an underling who got pregnant last year because the supervisor reasoned that the woman’s “brain won’t operate properly after giving birth,” according to a Brooklyn federal lawsuit filed Thursday.

Meda Bitterman claims in court papers that her boss, Sarah Rau, blasted “entitled” moms around the office and all but asked the pregnant Rau to quit.

Rau began cutting her hours and advised her that “if it’s so offensive to you, then find a more laissez-faire employer,” the suit says.

Ms. Bitterman’s claim was already reviewed and dismissed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission which found, after a full and thorough investigation, that Brooklyn Law School did not discriminate against Ms. Bitterman,” according to spokesmn Eric Riley. “BLS is confident it will prevail in litigation if Ms. Bitterman pursues her claim.”
