■ Two break-in crooks wreaked havoc at two business establishments in Rego Park, authorities said.

The young men entered a dental office on 63rd Avenue near Booth Street at about 3 a.m. Wednesday through an open basement window, cops said.

The two were seen on surveillance video moving things around and leaving the office in disarray, but they departed apparently with no stolen property, police said.

According to authorities, about 20 minutes later they broke into a Petland Discounts outlet on 63rd Drive near Saunders Street less than two blocks away, and removed two cages containing an array of esoteric small birds.

The assortment of creatures included a white ringneck parrot, a red bronze canary, a shaft-tail finch, three zebra finches and a cut-throat finch, said authorities.

The caged birds were recovered in the alleyway behind the store, cops said, and none of the fine feathered friends flew the coop.
