Douglas-Roberts the latest to join Knicks camp

The Knicks added former Nets draft pick Chris Douglas-Roberts to their training-camp roster and cut former St. John’s swingman Justin Brownlee after one day.

Roberts, a 6-foot-7 swingman, has a career averages of 7.5 points on 44.2 percent shooting over 20.3 minutes in 161 games (52 starts) in four seasons with the Nets, Bucks and Mavericks. The 26-year-old averaged 2.8 points over 10.5 minutes in six games for Dallas last season. He also played in the D-League, averaging 17.9 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.44 steals over 34.8 minutes in 16 games for the Texas Legends.

“He’s been around the league,’’ Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. “He’s not young. He’ll be part of training camp and see how he fits in.’’

The Detroit native originally was selected by the Nets following his junior season at the University of Memphis in the second round (40th overall) of 2008 NBA Draft.

“I saw him play a lot in college. He can score the basketball, that’s for sure,” Carmelo Anthony said. “I don’t where he’s going to fit in,  what the deal is. We look forward to having him in training camp and making a mark for himself and make the team.’’

Brownlee will try out for the Knicks’ D-League team in Erie. Teams can have a maximum 20 players at camp.
