Rapist plotted to kill victim from prison cell

A twisted Long Island rapist who forced his victim to wear an assortment of panties during a brutal gunpoint attack last year plotted to have her murdered from prison so she couldn’t testify at trial, prosecutors said today.

Patrick O’Sullivan, 21, of East Moriches, entered a posh Stony Brook home last year through an unlocked door and sexually assaulted and humiliated a woman who was house-sitting during an agonizing 45-minute attack, Suffolk prosecutors said.

He now faces new conspiracy raps after he allegedly offered a fellow inmate in Riverhead jail a total of $20,000 to kill the woman and an additional witness.

O’Sullivan conveyed the offer on a piece of paper that he fashioned into an airplane and sent to the inmate.

“Without a vic’s statement the DA’s case against me would lose all the power, right? Write me back. Use this sheet . . . I’ll flush it when it’s full,” he wrote according to Suffolk DA Tom Spota.

The prospective hit man told his lawyer about the offer who in turn contacted the DA’s office.

The alleged victim — who had her hands duct-taped behind her back — finally managed to use her tongue to dial 911 to alert authorities after the hellish Novemebr 2012 encounter, officials said.

O’Sullivan — who has been jailed for the past year — went from room to room wearing a mask in the large home and rummaged through drawers to retrieve underwear that he forced his bound victim to wear during the depraved attack.

Facing a heavy prison term, the alleged rapist plotted to murder the girl he had already traumatized so she wouldn’t be able to testify at his trial, Spota said today.

He faces life in prison for the rape rap and up to 25 years on the new conspiracy charges.
