Lawyer representing Cuomo in Moreland probe bills governor

The governor’s bill is no longer in the mail.

Power criminal-defense lawyer Elkan Abramowitz , who has been representing Gov. Cuomo in the Moreland Commission investigation since May, finally submitted a $10,000 bill on Thursday, according to new campaign filings Friday.

The filings listed the bill as unpaid — even though the governor is sitting on a $32.5 million warchest.

A Cuomo campaign representative said the invoice had just come in and a check was on the way.

The governor quietly hired Abramowitz, an old friend, after Manhattan US Attorney Preet Bharara took over the anti-corruption panel’s cases when Cuomo shut it down in April. Bharara also began looking into the role of the governor’s office in steering investigations.

The filings showed Cuomo is still raking in big money — $601,314 since his last report about three weeks ago.

He spent $3.2 million, including $8,074 on top election lawyer Marty Connor to challenge Democratic rival Zephyr Teachout.

Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Edgar Walker is scheduled to issue a decision Monday on whether Teachout, who says she moved into the city in 2009, has met the five-year residency requirement.
