‘All Cheerleaders Die’ a limp attempt at horror

Like the reanimated corpse of a teen queen, this would-be cult movie looks the part, but has little going on inside.

Channeling earlier high school horror flicks like “Jennifer’s Body,” “Ginger Snaps” and “The Craft,” it sees a group of girls retrieved from a fatal car accident by a Wiccan-leaning classmate (Sianoa Smit-McPhee), who brings them back to life — sort of.

“All Cheerleaders Die” starts promisingly with found footage of sassy squad leader Alexis (Felisha Cooper), whose untimely death in a human pyramid starts a deadly chain of events — and portends some seriously dark humor.

But as these undead, bloodthirsty vixens proceed to tear into the local arrogant jock population, what’s sorely missing from writers/directors Lucky McKee and Chris Sivertson is wit and a coherent plot, which they mostly cover up with shots of lithe ladies in gore-spattered uniforms and a whole lot of shrieking.
