An Ozone Park couple from hell starved and beat their 12-year-old daughter over the course of two years, using rolling pins and baseball bats to hit the emaciated girl, who weighed just 58 pounds, the Queens DA’s Office said Tuesday.
At one point, Maya Ranot was so brutally abused by her biological father Rajesh Ranot and her stepmother Sheetal that tendons in her wrist were sliced to the bone when she was smacked with a broken metal broom handle, authorities said.
The monsters also allegedly locked Maya in her bedroom without food or water for long periods of time and forced her to take cold showers while her father hit her with a baseball bat.
Sheetal Ranot, 31, and dad Rajesh Ranot, 46, were charged with multiple counts of assault and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.
Maya, who suffered cuts and bruises all over her body, reportedly stayed quiet fearing her step-siblings would be placed in foster care if she spoke up.
Police launched an abuse probe after doctors discovered bruises, marks and scars all over Maya’s body during a hospital visit on May 6.
