Katy Perry and John Mayer get intimate in new music video

Did you know John Mayer and Katy Perry love each other? Because they do — they love each other so much, they’re going to declare it in a music video.

In the couple’s new video for their track “Who You Love,” Mayer and Perry stare into each other’s eyes while real-life civilians demonstrate who they love by riding on a mechanical bull together. The track, whose sound you may recognize as being exactly like every other John Mayer song ever, comes from Mayer’s August album, “Paradise Valley.”

Mayer, who once called his relationship with another pop star “sexual napalm” here croons within a few inches of the lips of Perry, who last got dumped via text message. They are meant to be, which we know because Perry plays with Mayer’s ear and Mayer rubs his nose in Perry’s hair. If “Gigli” taught us anything, it’s that public displays of affection under the guise of art are great for celebrity relationships.

In the end, Mayer and Perry hop on the bull, and there’s literal fireworks and confetti because they are the best at loving. Those other bull-riding couples never stood a chance.
