John Kerry blows off Sun Valley billionaires

Sun Valley, Idaho — Attendees of Allen & Co.’s posh powwow won’t get to mingle with Secretary of State John Kerry after all.

Kerry was slated to speak at the exclusive conference of media and tech execs on Friday, along with former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg.

But duty called, and Kerry was forced to change his plans and jet off to Afghanistan, where he made an unannounced visit to help resolve the presidential election crisis.

“There’s been a change in his travel plans,” a spokeswoman for the State Department told Variety magazine.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is expected to take Kerry’s place on the panel.

On Wednesday, Christie told The Post that he’s in Sun Valley to “replace” another speaker — but stopped short of naming that person.

Christie made the remarks outside the Enoteca restaurant in Ketchum, just down the road from the mogulfest, where he dined with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

During dinner, Christie could be overheard talking about a slew of topics ranging from his stint as NJ’s federal prosecutor to his advice on “leadership.”

“The hardest thing,” Christie told Zuckerberg, is overseeing someone “two or three levels away from you.” Christie added that he “would do that different” — an apparent reference to the recent “Bridgegate” scandal that resulted in Christie firing his deputy chief of staff.

The Emmy nominations have left Les Moonves feeling “robbed,” he told The Post on Thursday.

The CBS chief said he thinks the network’s hit show, “The Good Wife,” deserved better this year, especially when the show produces a whopping 22 episodes a season — a much higher bar than its cable competitors.

Moonves had the added displeasure of learning of the snub while at Sun Valley with TV peers who were bestowed with multiple nominations including Netflix’s Reed Hastings and HBO’s Jeff Bewkes.

Netflix’s hit show “Orange is the New Black” snagged 12 Emmy nods, while HBO’s “Game of Thrones” led the pack with 19 nods.

The star-studded cast of “The Good Wife” all received nominations, but the show did not receive a best-drama nomination despite the bold plot twist of killing off a main character — a rarity in broadcast TV.

Diane Von Furstenberg showed up to the Sun Valley Inn on Thursday wearing the Google Glasses she designed.

She told reporters that her partnership with Google started two years ago here at Sun Valley when she saw Google co-founder Sergey Brin sporting a prototype of the hi-tech specs.

The fashionable glasses also come with a designer price tag. The basic device costs $1,500. The designer frames cost $225 and shades add another $150 to the bill.
