BRING THAT WHINE TO THE PARTY

AFTER complaining yes terday that she’d been left off the guest list this year for the White House Christmas party, Elisabeth Hasselbeck discovered that her invitation had been lost in the mail.

On the “The View” yesterday, the politically conservative co-host told viewers she “had a bone to pick with President Bush.”

Seems she has not been invited – as usual – to the First Family’s holiday party.

“Maybe I didn’t do enough for the Republican party this year,” she wondered.

Hasselbeck is the lone supporter of President Bush on “The View” panel and campaigned for vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

“I love Christmas cards. I love getting them,” she said.

“There is one [Chrismas card] in particular that I usually like,” she said, “and it’s an invitation to the White House Christmas party. Not the big one but the 20th one down the road that you get the leftovers at the party. I’d be going to that one. No invitation this year.”

The complaint caught the attention of someone at the White House.

“The president’s office apologized and explained that she and her husband were indeed invited to the White House for Christmas and were sorry that it did not arrive,” a spokesman for the show said shortly after the show ended. “It was simply an oversight.”
