NIGEL AND PAULA TWITTER MJ DEAL

PAULA Abdul and “So You Think You Can Dance” creator Nigel Lythgoe are in very public talks — via Twitter — to produce a Michael Jackson tribute episode as early as this week.

In what may be the first negotiation of its kind, Lythgoe and Abdul have been talking for the past several days over the social network site — as thousands of fans followed along — about choreographing the special.

“There is a problem clearing Michael’s music at the moment,” Lythgoe, who Twitters under the screen name “dizzyfeet,” wrote yesterday. “We are trying to make contact with Sony to get clearance on an all Michael SYTYCD.”

“Have your people call my people Nigel and let’s do it! Lol,” Paula Twittered.

“Don’t get carried away everyone,” Lythgoe wrote in a Twitter note to fans.

“It won’t be the NEXT show. These things take time to organize, clear and choreograph. I’ll keep you posted.”

And then shortly after, he posted this message:

“To the guy who called the idea of the special ‘opportunistic,’ you’re an @#*hole.”
