At least 2 killed during morning commute

At least two people died in accidents during Thursday’s rush-hour commute, authorities said.

A man walking at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and 65th Street in Bay Ridge was killed after a car plowed into him around 6:50 a.m., cops said. The victim was rushed to Lutheran Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Two hours earlier, a pileup on the Queens-Nassau border on the westbound side of the Long Island Expressway around 4:50 a.m., claimed the life of one motorist, authorities said.

The victims names and ages were not immediately available.
