CRAIGSLIST IS OFF THE HOOKER

Craigslist is replacing its “erotic services” ads with a new “adult services” category in a bid to end flagrant prostitution.

First-time ads cost $10, double the current price, and repeat ads cost $5. On the section yesterday, the advertised women appeared more clothed with the come-ons less blatant — but the tone was still sexual in nature.

State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said the measure “will prove to be half-baked.”

Ads in the new adult-services category will be individually screened by Craigslist staff members. The move comes on the heels of the case of an Upper West Side masseuse who was killed in Boston, allegedly by a medical student she met on Craigslist.
