Chef Marc Murphy buys TriBeCa co-op for $16.5M

Acclaimed New York chef Marc Murphy just supersized his living quarters.

Marc Murphy, whose Landmarc and Ditch Plains eatery empire spans from TriBeCa to the Upper West Side, together with his wife, Pamela Schein Murphy, just bought a $16.5 million corner co-op at the legendary Beresford at 211 Central Park West.

Ditching a large TriBeCa loft on trendy North Moore Street, the Murphy’s new neighbors will include Jerry and Jessica Seinfeld.

Listing broker Patrycia Harbison, of Halstead Property, declined to comment. The sprawling nine-turned-into-eight room co-op was on the market for less than a month.

The three-bedroom, five-and-a-half bath unit includes a private elevator landing, and, of course, a windowed eat-in kitchen with a butler’s pantry — and sweeping Central Park views.

The 15th floor apartment in the Emory Roth-designed, 22-story co-op, built in 1928-1929, includes a wood-burning fireplace, 10-foot high ceilings, and all-original wainscotting, molding and original plaster relief ceilings.
