Celebrity dentist sued for allegedly beating man in downtown lounge

A celebrity dentist — who has handled the pearly whites of socialite Tinsley Mortimer and former MLB slugger José Canseco — is being sued for $1 million for allegedly beating up another man in a fashionable downtown lounge.

Dennis Hoffmann claims he was minding his own business at the Gramercy Park Hotel’s Rose Bar in the early-morning hours of Jan. 19 when he was assaulted by the dentist, Dr. Shawn Sadri.

The Central Park South doc, who also has an office in Los Angeles, was “intoxicated” and became “angry, hostile, aggressive, agitated, violent and combative,” according to court papers.

The dentist — whose slogan is “Beautiful smiles, beautiful people” — “battered” and “pushed” Hoffmann, causing him “severe and permanent personal injuries,” the Manhattan civil suit says.

Sadri countered in a statement to The Post that Hoffman is “a scam artist looking for money.”

He referred further questions to his attorney, Greg Garber, who said: “There’s no medical proof. There’s no criminal complaint that was filed. It’s all allegations.

“If there was an injury, I’m sure it’s not related to this alleged incident,” Garber added.

There’s no record of a criminal case against Sadri.

Hoffmann’s attorney declined to comment.
