Top real-estate agent stole $2,000 in clothes from Saks

She rakes in piles of cash as one of New York’s top real-estate brokers, but she still couldn’t resist taking a five-finger discount at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Kate Meckler — whose big deals include hawking Rachel Uchitel’s $1.95 million Park Avenue co-op shortly after the Tiger Woods scandal — pleaded guilty Monday to stealing $2,000 worth of clothes from Saks by stuffing them into her designer bag and sauntering from the store last April.

“How do you plead?” asked Judge Erika Edwards, as Meckler stood before her in an elegant navy dress and gold sandals while facing disorderly conduct charges in Manhattan Criminal Court.

“Guilty,” she replied.

As part of her plea deal, Meckler, 39, will have to complete five days of community service at a soup kitchen.

On April 8, security “observed the defendant remove a top, a pair of jeans and a jacket from a rack inside Saks Fifth Avenue,” according to the criminal complaint. Cops arrested her on charges of grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

It’s unclear why the pretty blue-eyed blonde, who is one of Warburg Realty’s top-10-grossing agents, didn’t pay for the flashy duds worth $1,644.

The NYU grad has a condo sale in contract for a whopping $11.5 million inside posh Philip House on East 88th Street.

She negotiated advertising guru and CNBC host Donny Deutsch’s purchase of his stunning $21 million East 78th Street townhouse in 2006. The home’s owner had higher offers but accepted Deutsch’s because they liked Meckler, Curbed.com reported.

The property shark comes from a storied New York family.

Her father, Alan Meckler, is the CEO of Mediabistro.com and made his fortune as a tech pioneer at the helm of the Mecklermedia Corporation.

Her grandfather Herman Meckler was an actor who had supporting roles in the movie hits “Amadeus” and “Hair.”

Her parents own a spectacular oceanfront mansion in Southampton that was used in the film “As Good As It Gets.”

The troubled broker worked as a marketing executive at Bear Stearns and Estee Lauder before becoming a real-estate agent, according to Warburg’s website.

“Kate has pled guilty today to disorderly conduct and she looks forward to moving on with her life and career,” said her defense attorney, Adam Miller.

Meckler declined to comment as she left court teary-eyed.
