‘SNL’ spoofs Sharpton’s mob snitching for FBI

Veteran Al Sharpton spoofer Kenan Thompson was at it again on Saturday Night Live, donning a bouffant wig for the Shaft-esque action segment, “Undercover Sharpton.”

“The first rule of espionage is to keep it real low key,” the flamboyantly dressed but bungling “Sharpton” tells a barmaid.

“That’s why I wore this floor length leather duster,” he explains. “And a large, Cadillac medallion.”

His targets in sight — a couple of “goombahs” sitting at a table to the side of the bar — “Sharpton” pounces, slickly asking the wine-sipping gentlemen if they’d like to “Get down to business.”

“Business, huh? Ok. You heard it’s snowing outside?” one goombah responds, tapping his nose with his index finger in the universal sign language for snorting coke.

“Snowing?!” “Sharpton” snaps back. “It’s June! I came here to get some co-caine.”

The bungling agent also mispronounces “Mr. Bonanno” and brings the wrong briefcase to the job — not the one with the recording equipment, but another filled with caramel corn and demo tapes.
