Today is Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day, which is dedicated to the popular packing material that people just can’t resist popping with their fingers.

The celebration was started 12 years ago by an Indiana radio station, which holds bubble-wrap art contests and a bubble-popping relay race.

A US senator knows what will crush Cuba’s commie dictators: drunken college kids.

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) declared that we should allow travel to Cuba so Fidel and Raul Castro would get a taste of sweet freedom from thousands of boozed-up, underage partiers.

“If we want a real get-tough policy with the Castro brothers, we should force them to deal with spring break once or twice,” he said.

This guy had his funeral his way.

David Kime Jr., 88, of York, Pa., had a flame- broiled funeral. He had arranged for the hearse carrying his coffin and the funeral procession to pass through the drive-through of a local Burger King on the way to the cemetery.

The mourners each got a burger on their way through.

Curling and ice hockey are so last year — the coolest sport in Canada these days is topless ice fishing.

The contest takes place on a frozen lake in Ontario, where contestants open a hole in the ice and try to catch fish in 18-degree weather.

Of course, one thing should be noted — all 20 contestants are men.

And now for a test that’s completely different.

Britain has come up with a new citizenship exam, which asks Briton wannabes about popular culture, including questions about Monty Python.

The test will also ask about Shakespeare and Stonehenge.
