Mayors Against Illegal Guns’ 30-second spot will air during the third quarter in the Washington, DC, market.
The cost was in the six figures, a spokesman said.
The ad pushes for background checks on all gun sales, and criticizes the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre after he last week reversed his position on the policy.
