‘Figoski driver’ jail

A man acquitted of murder in the shooting death of an NYPD officer is going to jail — for a little while anyway.

Cops said Michael Velez violated his probation when he drove a car to a Brooklyn drug dealer’s house that was being targeted for a robbery that ended in the shooting death of Detective Peter Figoski.

Triggerman Lamont Pride was convicted of second-degree murder, but Velez dodged the murder and burglary raps last week.

Even so, a Queens judge sentenced Velez yesterday to two years for violating his parole on an old assault rap.

Velez faced up to seven years in prison for the third-degree assault charge, had he not taken the plea. He has been in jail since the December 2011 Figoski shooting and will be credited for time served dating back to February 2012when he was originally slapped with the parole violation.
