A Manhattan civil judge granted preliminary approval to the settlement of a dispute over the public offering of a real-estate investment trust that includes the Empire State Building.
The agreement will let Empire State Realty Trust Inc., which controls the iconic skyscraper, carry out its plan to sell publicly traded stock shares.
