Theater has gone to the dogs — and they’re proving themselves the highlights of the season. In fact, no other member of off-Broadway’s newly revived “The Threepenny Opera” received warmer reviews than Romeo, the cross-dressing bulldog. Here are a quartet of canine up-and-comers — all of them rescue dogs — and where to find them.
Trixie
The 8-pound Pomeranian makes her Broadway debut Thursday in “Bullets Over Broadway,” spending most of her stage time sitting pretty in co-star Karen Ziemba’s arms.
