Romo gets $108M extension

Tony Romo and the Cowboys have agreed on a six-year contract extension worth $108 million, with about half of it guaranteed.

The agreement was reported on the team’s website yesterday. The deal will lower Romo’s salary cap number of $16.8 million for 2013, giving the team more room to sign free agents and draft picks.

Romo, who turns 33 next month and was entering the final year of his contract, gets $55 million guaranteed and could be with Dallas through 2019.

STEELERS:
Troy Polamalu would welcome Ahmad Bradshaw to the Steelers if his team signs the former Giants running back.

The Steelers brought in Bradshaw for a physical, but he hasn’t signed yet.

“Any talent and any veteran leadership and experience that you bring from other teams will automatically make us better,” Polamalu told The Post while promoting Head & Shoulders’ newest charity campaign, “Whiff-a-thon.”

BEARS:
Matt Slauson has officially moved on.

The Jets’ starting guard for the past three years has signed a one-year deal with the Bears.

Chicago general manager Phil Emery said Slauson’s size and strength will make him a challenger for a starting guard position.

The Bears also agreed to terms on a one-year contract with quarterback Josh McCown. The team did not release terms of the contract.

REDSKINS: Tight end Fred Davis has re-signed with the team.

A person familiar with the agreement said Davis received a one-year contract after exploring options with the Bills and Jets.
