Someone slashed a man in the face in the East Village, cops said.
The victim was in front of the Manhattan Express Deli Grocery on Avenue D and Seventh Street around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police.
The suspect, who remains unidentified, slashed him with a sharp object across the right side of his face and fled, cops said.
Emergency responders rushed the man to Bellevue Hospital where he was being treated for the laceration.
Police did not immediately known how old the victim was or what sparked the violence.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
