8 things to watch this week

1. Pretty Little Liars

Now Aria (Lucy Hale) and the other Liars (Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell) are predictably reeling in their Jimmy Choos as he clings to life. While Aria stands watch over Ezra at the hospital, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and the PLLs lay a trap to finally flush out “A” but are shocked by who she ensnares.

3. The Night Shift

(Tuesday, 10 p.m., NBC)

NBC
TC (Eoin Macken) and Paul (Robert Bailey Jr.) are called to the chaotic scene of a hog-hunting excursion that has gone horribly awry. One patient has lost a hand to a feral hog and another has been shot with an arrow through the chest. While the docs tend to that hot mess, Topher (Ken Leung) deals with a resourceful 9-year-old girl who has come to the hospital on her own to seek treatment, but soon realizes the case is far more complicated. Drew (Brendan Fehr) injures his hand during a MMA fight and enlists Krista (Jeananne Goossen) to help him keep it a secret from Jordan (Jill Flint). Ragosa (Freddy Rodriguez) seeks some family counseling from Landry (Daniella Alonso) and Ragosa threatens to close down the staff hangout known as the Tailgate.

4. Royal Pains

(Tuesday, 9 p.m., USA)

USA Network
After a winter abroad, Hank (Mark Feuerstein) returns to the Hamptons to celebrate the latest addition to the HankMed family. Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and Paige (Brooke D’Orsay) take a hands-on approach to their marriage. Later, Evan hatches a plan to make Hank stay in town after a saxophone player (Nick Gehlfuss) falls ill. Meanwhile, Divya (Reshma Shetty) experiences the joys of motherhood and a mysterious party guest (Willa Fitzgerald) brings surprising news for the Lawson family.

5. Murder in the First

(Monday, 10 p.m., TNT)

TNT
Summer is the season for round-the-clock shows about death. Here’s another one, “Murder in the First,” from Steven Bochco. It stars Taye Diggs (“Private Practice”) and it sounds a lot like “The Killing.” The 10-episode procedural is set in another fog-bound city — San Francisco — and follows a single murder investigation. Two homicide detectives (Diggs and Kathleen Robertson) get ensnared in two seemingly unrelated murders. This being a TV show, however, the cases have a common denominator, which we won’t reveal. Let’s talk about the complicated lives of the detectives instead. Robertson plays a single mom — just like Mireille Enos on “The Killing.” Coincidence, huh? Diggs’s character is married to a terminally ill woman (Anne-Marie Johnson). Can Bochco recapture his “NYPD Blue” glory days?

6. 24: Live Another Day

(Monday, 9 p.m., Fox)

FOX
Following an intense and deadly shootout, Jack (Kiefer Sutherland) and Kate (Yvonne Strahovski) are in a race against time to save the life of a key player tied to the imminent terror threat. Meanwhile, Jordan Reed (Giles Matthey) is ordered into the field on a perilous mission. Then, after President Heller (William Devane) engages Margot (Michelle Fairley) to end her savage attacks, he faces an unthinkable, game-changing decision. Co-starring Kim Raver and Tate Donovan.

7. Undateable

(Thursday, 9:30 p.m., NBC)

NBC
Danny (Chris D’Elia) thinks Brett (David Fynn) is ready to ask a guy out and convinces him to do so, against Justin’s (Brent Morin) better judgment. Meanwhile, Leslie (Bianca Kajlich) and Sabrina (Eva Amurri Martino, far left) give Justin tips on how to be romantic.

8. Major Crimes

(Monday, 9 p.m., TNT)

TNT
In the third-season premiere of this lesser version of “The Closer,” a father and his two children go missing, and the Major Crimes squad has to work quickly to find them, while uncovering a slew of terrible family secrets along the way. Meanwhile, Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) does her best to trust Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) as he begins to take trips out on his own. This crime procedural co-stars G.W. Bailey, Kearran Giovanni and Phillip P. Keene.
