Charges dropped against comedian Kevin Meaney

Funnyman Kevin Meaney was arrested at Kennedy Airport for allegedly elbowing a 29-year-old woman in the chest — but prosecutors on Wednesday dropped the case.

Security cameras show the Manhattan-based comedian, 58, walk past the woman Tuesday and strike her with his elbow as she walks with her husband, pushing a baby carriage, authorities said.

The comedian, who has appeared on Broadway in “Hairspray,” was arrested when the woman reported the alleged attack to Port Authority officers.

She refused medical attention, despite reporting pain in her chest, and boarded her flight to Turkey just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, sources said.

Authorities believe the woman and Meaney are strangers, with one source saying, “Maybe he just doesn’t like crowds.”

The misdemeanor assault charge filed against Meaney was dropped Wednesday by the Queens district attorney after officials determined the two just bumped into each other.

This wasn’t Meaney’s first airport incident. He was arrested in 2002 at San Francisco International after he allegedly became belligerent and verbally abusive to a National Guardsman.

Meaney starred in the 1990 TV comedy series “Uncle Buck” and has had minor roles in “30 Rock” and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”
