The Red Bulls full schedule was released today, with their home opener coming March 16 against archrival DC United and to be aired nationally on NBC at 12:30 p.m.
They’ll have two road games before that, Sunday, March 3 at Portland at 7:30 p.m., and then at San Jose on March 10 at 10 p.m. on ESPN2.
Every MLS team plays 34 games spread through 35 weeks. The Red Bulls will have a pair of grueling stretches where they have three games in a week; but at least – after last year’s playoff reshuffling – their DC United games will be on Saturdays.
The Red Bulls will host rivals D.C., New England Revolution and the Philadelphia Union twice. They host the Union on March 30 at 3:30 pm (NBC Sports Network), and less than two months later, they face reigning MLS Cup champion LA on May 19 at 1 p.m. (ESPN2) to kick off a three-game homestand.
Five of New York’s final eight regular season matches are at home, starting Aug. 31 (8 p.m, NBC Sports Network) when they face United for the third and final time. They finish the home slate vs. the Revolution on Oct. 5 and then the Chicago Fire on Oct. 27.
The Red Bulls are on the ESPN Networks seven times (two on ESPN, five on ESPN2), and six times on NBC Sports Group (five on NBCSN, once on NBC). They are on UniMas six times as well, with their local deal yet to be announced.
