Giants bring back seven of their own for practice squad

Clearly, the Giants were fairly happy with the players they cut on Saturday, as Sunday they brought seven of them back to fill out the bulk of their practice squad. The Giants have one spot to fill on the eight-man squad.

Defensive end Matt Broha lost a close roster battle with Justin Trattou and, after clearing waivers, Broha was brought back and signed to the practice squad, where he spent the entire 2012 season. Another defensive end, Adewale Ojomo, was also brought back as was guard Eric Herman, the only 2013 draft pick (seventh round) not to make the 53-man roster.

Also signed to the practice squad: Offensive lineman Stephen Goodin (Nebraska-Kearney), receivers Marcus Harris (Murray State) and Julian Talley (UMass) and cornerback Charles James (Charleston Southern).

LB Kyle Bosworth thought he did enough to make the Giants but he was cut. He’ll be seeing the Giants soon enough, though, as he was claimed off waivers by the Cowboys, the Giants’ season-opening opponent. Bosworth, a native of Plano, Texas in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, tweeted “Can’t wait to play for the ‘Boys. Childhood dreams do come true.’’
