WATCH: Watson berates caddie after hitting ball in water

Bubba Watson won the 2012 Masters but hasn’t won a tournament since, but he’s not blaming himself.

Watson, who was leading the Traveler’s Championship during the final round by two strokes on Sunday before collapsing down the stretch, took it out on caddie Ted Scott.

He had a bad shot on the par-3 16th hole in which his tee shot landed in the water.

“Water. It’s in the water. That club. Yes, the water,” Watson can be heard on CBS’ coverage saying to Scott after the first shot.

His next shot was well over the green, to which he let Scott hear it again.

“So you’re telling me that’s the right yardage?,” Watson said.

Then Watson’s putt from the green ended up no where near the hole.

“That’s great,” Watson said sarcastically. “There’s just no reason for me to show up.”

Analyst David Feherty then defends Scott by saying, “Hey, you hit it, bud,” directed at Watson. who went on to triple-bogey the hole and finish in fourth place, two strokes behind winner Ken Duke.

The two appeared to make light of the situation on Twitter. Watson tweeted Sunday, “Picked the wrong club on the 16th hole. But it was still a great week. Thanks to the fans & Travelers for another great tourney!”

Scott, who either saw that, or was responding to Watson’s mini-tirade at him tweeted “Not sure what @bubbawatson was talking about. I never make a mistak #golfishard” to which Watson replied, “Hahaha me eether “.
