‘Modern Family’ kid fires TV dad

So much for families sticking together!

Emmy winner Ty Burrell has been bounced from an independent movie being put together by his teenage “Modern Family” co-stars Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez and Ariel Winter.

“I got fired,” he confirmed to The Post last night at the annual PaleyFest in Los Angeles, where the top rated ABC sitcom was being honored.

Burrell says he was given the pink slip by his TV son Nolan Gould — before he ever shot a single frame of footage for the still unnamed zombie film.

“He literally got to fire me before we ever worked,” Burrell says. “I think he just didn’t think I could pull off playing the radio announcer.”

“It may also be (because of) my drug habit,” the Emmy winner joked. “I have a very serious heroin habit that has made me miss a lot of shooting days. Eventually the people who insured the movie just said ‘This can’t happen anymore.’”

Budding filmmaker Gould, 14, said the decision to drop Burrell was strictly business.

“I wrote a part for him and then we had to shorten our movie and his part got cut,” he explains. “I had to break him the news. I was like ‘Ty, Your fired!’ And he’s like ‘I’m fired?’ But I was like ‘Wait, wait…we’re gonna let you do the voice on the trailer: ‘One world, filled with zombies…’ ”
