Architectural Digest Home Design Show
The 10th annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show presents the latest ideas and products for the home — everything from furniture and lighting to kitchens and baths. In addition to booths from nearly 300 brands, there will be book signings, presentations by celebrity chefs, design seminars and dramatic table installations as part of DIFFA’s (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) Dining by Design. Also, the inaugural Artist Project New York at the neighboring Pier 92 will showcase 150-plus unrepresented international artists. Thursday is open to the trade and preview ticket holders only. DIFFA’s Cocktails by Design
Coinciding with the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, this event allows you to sample food and drink from some of NYC’s hottest restaurants while taking in 45 amazing table installations from the likes of David Rockwell, as well as by students from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Pratt Institute and the New York School of Interior Design. Participating restaurants include Bar Boulud, Buddakan, Estiatorio Milos, ilili, Kittichai, Murray’s Cheese, North Square and Spice Market. 6-10 pm. Tickets, $150.
