Report:  Mayweather-Pacquiao Set For Vegas

The Grand Rapids (Mich.) Press is reporting the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight will be held March 13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. A source close to the negotiations told the newspaper the MGM Grand apparently outbid Jerry Jones, who had offered $25 million to hold the fight at Cowboys Stadium.

Contracts should be finalized by next week with a formal press conference scheduled in New York and Los Angeles during the first week of January.

Mayweather’s camp is confident their fighter will prevail in the mega-fight which could be the richest of all-time. Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather’s adviser, told the Post Pacquiao was “a good little exciting fighter. But when you speak about Floyd,” Ellerbe said, “it’s a whole different level. If we’re able to come to a deal, then the whole world will get a chance to see the difference.”
