Burberry and Christopher Bailey rock the British Fashion Awards

Burberry and its Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey rocked the British Fashion Awards this week, taking home the Designer Brand award and British Fashion council Designer of the Year award, respectively. This is the fourth British Fashion Award for Bailey, who previously won for Menswear Designer of the Year (2008, 2007) and Designer of the year (2005).

Following the ceremony, Bailey announced that Burberry Prorsum will continue to show during London Fashion Week.

“I am extremely pleased to announce that the Burberry Prorsum womenswear show will stay in London again this season and will be held during London Fashion Week in February,” Bailey said. “There was such an incredible energy during the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week last September and we were very proud to be a part of this momentous celebration. London is our home and our global headquarters and we are thrilled to be showing again in this, our magnificent and creative city.”

Other winners at this year’s British Fashion Awards include: Georgia May Jagger (model), Katie Hillier (accessories designer), Kim Jones for dunhill (menswear), Christopher Kane (British collection of the year), Grace Coddington (fashion creator), John Galliano (achievement in fashion design), Holly Fulton (emerging talent – accessories) and Peter Pilotto (emerging talent – ready-to-wear).
