The Yankees turned a triple play against Rays

After an Evan Longoria double and a Wil Myers walk in the bottom of the second inning, CC Sabathia and the Yankees were in some early trouble Thursday night against the Rays. But Sabathia induced a Sean Rodriguez hard grounder down the third-base line, which was perfectly fielded by Yangervis Solarte, who tagged third and zipped the ball to Brian Roberts, whose quick turn to first baseman Scott Sizemore sealed a rarely seen triple play.

Not the fielding trio you penciled in at the season’s onset, but an impressive play nonetheless.
