It appears the Mets have found their replacement for utility infielder Damion Easley. Boston radio station WEEI reported late Tuesday night that the Amazin’s have agreed to terms on a one-year, $2 million deal with Alex Cora. Cora, 33, spent the past 3 1/2 seasons with Boston and hit .270 with a .371 OBP in 75 games at shortstop and second base for the Red Sox last year. He is considered a decent fielder and adds yet another left-handed bat to the Mets’ large stable of lefty hitters.
