One of the Yankees top picks in the 2008 First-Year Player Draft, right-hander Brett Marshall, has been placed on the disabled list by Low-A Charleston. The 6-foot Texan’s injury, who has struggled this season with Charleston, was undisclosed by the club.

Marhsall has gone 3-6 with a 5.56 ERA for Charleston this season, striking out 60 and walking 37 in 87.1 innings. He was a sixth-round choice by the Yankees last year, and passed up a full scholarship to Rice to sign with them.
