By the way, I’m on Twitter. Should have mentioned that earlier. Hope you come follow me.

First of all, anybody see Johnny Depp on Letterman last night? Pretty funny. Basically, he doesn’t like to watch himself in movies, so he doesn’t always see the actual films he’s involved in. Letterman asked him if he’s seen his new movie, Public Enemies, and Depp said no. Letterman asked why, and Depp said something like, “Well, I kind of feel like once I’ve done my job on film, it’s really none of my business.” How about that one?

Megan Fox was on the show, too, by the way. That was good.

Anyway, it’s Friday, so as always, today’s list is lighter. In the wake of Shaquille O’Neal’s trade to Cleveland – which I’ve already shared my opinion on here (I don’t like it) – here are five people in sports who I think would make the best TV broadcasters or commentators:

5. Bart Scott. I’ve only dealt with him once, but the new Jets linebacker is entertaining and interesting. He’s got a lot of personality, and I could see him being tremendous on TV.

4. Billy Wagner. A couple years ago I polled the Mets about what person on the team was most likely to one day work for a sports media entity, and David Wright won. But one thing Aaron Heilman said was, “For a day it’d be Billy, and then he’d get kicked off and censored.”

3. Jim Boeheim. After the six-overtime game against UConn in the Big East Tournament – I covered that one, by the way – Boeheim had a bunch of amusing lines. Meanwhile, Jim Calhoun was sour.

2. Shaquille O’Neal. There are a lot of former NBA stars on TV – Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Magic Johnson, etc. But as I’ve said (see No. 3 here), Shaq would have the potential to be the best.

1. Cliff Floyd. Funny, good-natured, friendly, has been all over the league. I covered Cliff for a few years on the Mets beat and he was among the best guys I’ve ever dealt with. He could be the most entertaining analyst MLB would have.
