A 43-year-old man was shot dead inside a Fordham Heights apartment and another person was stabbed outside the building, officials said.
The victim was inside a home on East 187th Street, between Elm Place and Tiebout Avenue, around 4:45 a.m., when he was shot in the head and neck, according to police.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and no arrests have been made.
A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the head outside the building around the same time, but investigators do not believe the two attacks are related. That victim was taken to St. Barnabus and expected to survive, authoritites said.
