Teddy Dinner Set For Nov. 20

The 12th annual Dr. Theodore A. Atlas Dinner is set for November 20 at the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island.

New York Jets coach Eric Mangini and New York Giants Super Bowl Champions Brandon Jacobs and Justin Tuck headline a long list of celebrities who will join boxing trainer and ESPN2 analyst Teddy Atlas in helping the needy at the 12th annual Dr. Theodore A. Atlas Dinner on Thursday night, November 20 at the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island.

The New York football community will assist the Atlas Foundation with former Jets quarterback Phil Simms, all-time great Jets linebacker Greg Buttle, former Jets return man Bruce Harper and Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum joined by New York Sack Exchange members Joe Klecko and Mark Gastineau and Giants Super Bowl standout Sean Landeta.

They will be joined by a superb list of television celebrities including: Joe Gannascoli, Tony Sirico, and Danny Grimaldi of The Sopranos along with actors Chuck Zito and Burt Young.

Legendary Boxing Hall of Famer and New York Daily News cartoonist Bill Gallo will receive the Jack Newfield Award, celebrating integrity in journalism. Gallo has been with the New York Daily News since 1941 and is a past recipient of the James J. Walker Award from the Boxing Writers Association and the Champions Award from the Downtown Athletic Club.
