The Mets placed reliever Matt Wise on the disabled list today, and New York summoned New Orleans closer Carlos Muniz from their Triple-A affiliate. Wise, who was placed on the DL retroactive to April 2 with what the Mets are calling a “contusion of the forearm”, is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two games, after giving up the game-winning home run to Florida’s Robert Andino in the 10th inning last Tuesday.
Muniz has picked up two saves in his two appearances for the Zephyrs this season. In 1.1 scoreless innings of work, he has struck out one and walked one.
