After a rough first outing for the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Mets supplemental-round selection, former UNC-Wilmington right-hander Brad Holt, passed his first start in front of the hometown faithful at KeySpan Park with flying colors. Holt threw five no-hit innings for the Cyclones last night, helping Brooklyn defeat the Aberdeen IronBirds, 4-2. Holt struck out six and walked one in improving to 1-1. Yury Santana also pitched well once again, hurling a scoreless 1-1/3 to close out the game and pick up his fourth save in four appearances. Santana hasn’t allowed a run yet this year.
