Backup catcher Ramon Castro was scheduled to start today’s game against the Padres but was pulled an hour before the first pitch because he had yet to arrive at the park here in San Diego. Willie Randolph is going with third catcher Raul Casanova instead. A fine for Castro is forthcoming. Hope that late night in Tijuana was worth it (kidding). 8:15 P.M. UPDATE: Hilariously, Castro claimed he thought the game started at 4:05 p.m. local time because it said “4:05” on the Met-produced pocket schedule he carries with him.
