When Marty Straka, Ryan Callahan and Sean Avery are all fit again and back in the line-up, it presents the possibility that Nigel Dawes could get squeezed out. It begs the question: if you had to choose between Marcel Hossa and Nigel Dawes, who would it be?
My answer: unless Hossa explodes offensively (that is to say “becomes his brother”), I pick Dawes all the way. Yes, Hossa has superior size, but Dawes has everything else.
Not that Hossa has to be the one to go to make room for Dawes; there are other options, but the kid needs to stay up this time … and that means someone else will go down.
