Reality guru Mike Darnell lands at Warner Bros.

Ex-Fox reality guru Mike Darnell has landed at Warner Bros. TV.

Darnell, who brought us, among other shows, “My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance,” “Man vs. Beast” and “Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire” left Fox in May.

Although he insisted otherwise, some in the industry speculated that he took the fall for declining ratings on “American Idol,” which he oversaw.

Darnell begins his new gig Aug. 12 and will be in charge of first-run syndicated shows produced by Telepictures.

The Telepictures roster includes “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The Bachelor” and “The Real Housewives of New York City.”

“No single person has had a more profound impact on the unscripted and alternative genre than Mike Darnell,” Warner Bros. TV president Peter Roth said in a statement.

“There was simply no way we could pass up the opportunity to have him join us at Warner Bros.”
