Ousted judge boasts with vanity license plate

What vanity!

The ousted head of Brooklyn’s Surrogate Court — who was booted from the bench and disbarred in a corruption scandal — drives around the city with the custom license plate “NYSJ,” The Post has learned.

Michael Feinberg, 70, is frequently seen behind the wheel of the BMW with the plates that suggest he is still on the bench.

The luxury car was parked on Wednesday in the driveway of his $1.1 million home in tony Manhattan Beach. A source said the plates are registered to Feinberg’s wife, Marlene.

Feinberg was elected to a 14-year term as Brooklyn’s Surrogate Court Judge in 1996. He he left in disgrace in 2005 for awarding his law-school buddy, Louis Rosenthal, nearly $9 million in legal fees, without requiring him to submit the legally required affidavits.

Feinberg, who was disbarred, couldn’t be reached for comment.

“After you’re thrown off the bench, how do you still run around with those plates and claim that you’re a New York State judge?” a neighbor asked. “Everyone’s assuming he would be a New York state judge, and he isn’t.”
