Mayor Bloomberg to get tour of new 7 train stop

Mayor Bloomberg’s taking one more victory lap — actually a victory ride — on a legacy project before leaving office in a couple of weeks.

Bloomberg will ride a special “dignitaries” train on Friday to the new subway extension at 34th Street and 11th Avenue, according to sources.

Although the No. 7 train extension to the far West side isn’t expected to open until this summer, the rails are already in place, the sources added. Extensive work still needs to done on the station itself.

The 7’s last stop in Manhattan is currently at Times Square subway.

The city is picking up the $2.4 billion tab for the extension to 11th Avenue as part of the Hudson Yards project.
