An 11-year old was killed when the car she and several other children were riding in hit a guardrail on on the Henry Hudson Parkway at around 12:50 a.m. and flipped over. The driver was allegedly drunk.

The driver of the overloaded Mercury Sable, Carmen Huertas, 31, slammed into a guardrail near 96th Street, flipping the vehicle and striking a tree. She failed a Breathalyzer test and cops say she was drunk.

Single dad Leonardo Rosado can’t understand how Huertas could drink and drive, especially with a car full of children. “As a parent, as a mother, where was your common sense,” he said. “I call this murder.” She was his only child.
